This is a fun way to get students involved in not only the writing process but also grammar.  The beautiful thing is they don't even know they're learning grammar because they are too busy giving advice and telling their classmates what to do.

This is a great idiom for dying.  If the subject of death isn't taboo with your students, here is a great lesson that incorporates idioms as well as conversation exchange about what people want to do before they die.  It can spin off into other areas of discovering how other cultures view death or what their rituals are or taking surveys and explaining or interpreting the results.  Those are just a couple of ideas.

Conditionals can be a little difficult for English learners to master.  I like the real life suggestions of putting them into a context students can relate to.  I also like the idea of having a little laughter in the classroom, especially when it comes to grammar.
