JPEGmini is a nice web service which allows you to reduce the size of your JPEG image files upto 5 times and all this without losing the quality and resolution of your photo.

 

This web service is free to use and you don’t even need register or make your account on the website to use it, just visit website, upload image and then it will compress it and let you download it back.

 

After compressing you will be able to see how your image looks before and after compressing and you will hardly see and changes, it also tells you how much size it had reduced.

Pour transformer sa PS3 en Media Center, il n’y a rien de plus simple. Cela permet d’avoir accès au contenu de votre PC sur votre PS3 et donc de lire le contenu de votre PC sur votre TV connectée. Ce logiciel permet de lire tous les fichiers vidéos sur votre PS3 ainsi que les MKV sans les convertir. A la difference des autres serveurs multimédia (windows media player, winamp…), PMS transcode les fichiers non compatibles pour que la console puisse les lires à la volée depuis votre PC. Une solution bien moins cher que d’acheter un PC média Center !

OpenELEC 2.0 (pour Open Embedded Linux Entertainment Center) est la première version stable de cette distribution destinée à un usage multimédia. Elle embarque XBMC V11 nativement, ce qui lui assure un large éventail de possibilités multimédia.

Un ancien PC avec un petit disque dur pourra se transformer avantageusement en media center. Seulement 130 Mo de données sont installées. De surcroît, les développeurs d’OpenELEC 2.0 assurent que le démarrage de la distribution se fait en moins de 10 secondes à compter de l’instant où le PC est allumé.

Et si c’est le terme Linux qui vous rebute, sachez que la distro ne nécessite aucune connaissance particulière en la matière.

There was a time when we used to use the Media Player to organize our media, but these days most of us prefer using the Media Centers. In this article I will tell you how to convert your Windows 7 computer into a Media Center PC, using the in-built Windows Media Center application.

This tutorial is divided into 3 parts. In the first, I will talk about configuring the hardware and configuring the Media Center application to adopt the new hardware. In the 2nd part, I will cover how to configure the Media Center application and make a Media Extender with the help of Xbox 360. And in the third concluding part, we will see how to schedule recordings, stream our Media Center, schedule and record TV, and tweak the Windows Media Center with third-party Add-ons.

If you have purchased a PC recently and is running Windows Vista or later, then you can renovate your Windows PC into a Media Center without any problems. You can find Windows Media Center pre-installed on your machine. We can use some hardware and freeware third-party tools to convert your PC into a Media Center.
