After posting about how to create a Google Plus community for your class one of my readers here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning asked about whether there is a way to do the same on Facebook. Her question got me thinking : how come I have been blogging for all these years and never came into my mind to post a tutorial on how teachers can create a Facebook group for their students. Although it is not on my posting schedule for today, I am not letting the idea go because if if I postpone it I might probably forget about it.

Le transfert des fichiers peut se faire via les différents services de partage de fichiers qui existent aujourd'hui. Sauf que ces outils sont parfois exigeant au niveau de la taille du fichier à partager. Ainsi la plupart des services d'email ne supportent pas des fichiers de grande taille à part Gmail qui fait recours à son service de stockage google Drive pour permettre à ses utilisateurs d'envoyer des fichiers volumineux. Mais cela n'empeche qu'il existe des services indépendants qui nous offrent cette possibilité et c'est là qu'intervient transferbigfiles.

SkyFonts will install Desktop versions of Google Fonts on to your Windows 8 PC. Please note that the download and installation of SkyFonts require .NET Framework 4 installed. Late last year, we covered a little tip to show you how you can run multiple instances of any app on a Mac. It requires you to run a script and is pretty simple even for someone who has never used the AppleScript Editor. Though there is one caveat with that method – it doesn’t work for all apps, as we noted in the aforementioned post. Skype was one such app that we identified would not run multiple instances with the script. The reason has something to do with Skype itself, rather than the script. If you were disappointed by this and have the need to run multiple instances of Skype, Multi Skype Launcheris a free Mac app that will do the trick. It’s currently in beta and requires OS X Lion or higher. The app is basically a launcher for Skype, but allows you to launch a new instance of the popular app each time you click it, be it a hundred times if you need to.

Si vous êtes sous Windows, BonAView est un petit logiciel qui va vous permettre de gérer, présenter et retoucher tous vos dossiers images de manière simple et rapide. La nouvelle version (1.6) est proposée depuis début de ce mois de mai par High Motion Software. L’intérêt de BonAView n’est pas uniquement d’être simple, c’est aussi qu’il permet de combiner plusieurs outils en un seul afin de tout avoir sous la main en cas de besoin. Voyons ça avec un peu plus de détails.
La vectorisation d’une image n’est pas un truc magique ni extrêmement complexe, c’est tout simplement la transformation d’une image en formule mathématiques (vecteurs) dont l’objectif est d’éviter la pixellisation d’une image. Rien compris? Normalement une image est constituée de pixels, qui sont des petits points carrés qu’on va pouvoir visualiser si on agrandit une photo. Une image vectorielle est constituée de lignes, de cercle de courbe issu de formule de maths. L’avantage d’une image vectorisée c’est qu’on peut l’agrandir à souhait et elle gardera toujours la même forme, sans cette pixellisation ennuyeuse.
