Can you tell a psychopath by the way they speak? | The Hot Word ... | Forensics, Criminal Justice, and Psychology | Scoop.it
The real world application of these conclusions may seem far fetched, but police departments and investigators hope to use craigslist or facebook posts to determine psychological profiles of suspects or potential criminals.

OCHS CQU (Kimberly Van Lathum)'s curator insight, March 18, 9:35 PM

It's only short but details an interesting thought.
Can we tell if a person has psychopathic tendencies just by the way they speak?

Probably, but I'm not certain.

In any case, I'd like to think I would have a significantly more solid answer in five years time.  At 17 years of age I have to admit my career choices change on almost a daily basis, however I am sure that whatever I end up doing, it will be in an effort to help people in a legal/law enforcement context.  I'm enrolled in the Accident Forensics program, but by using it as a ' stepping stone' as such into the police force I'm confident I will have a solid backing for whatever direction i decide to travel.  The whole prospect of bring peace and consolation to a victim or their family is, for me, a massive motivator.
