The Indian tea industry is facing a major challenge after data revealed the UK market for tea would shrink by  15% in 2021 compared to 2006. 


That market segment of older Britons who liked the taste of Indian tea is on the decline. Younger consumers may prefer coffee or high-energy drinks. Additionally, consumer reduction of tea consumption, an economic strategy to cut costs, could be to blame.
