From sustainable agriculture to Big Ag around the globe

lloyd stanley gordon's comment, August 18, 2013 9:58 AM
This is a must visit to view and consider. It is all so very relevant to current healthcare trends and concerns in particular in relation to Agriculture and the means, and choices, in of food production generally. Do Recall that Quantum Organiculture, my in-house thesis for sustainable development in Ecology and Health, did hint at all of this through its focus on Organic Growing and Hydroponics. The ideas first presented in Quantum Organiculture have remained relevant to these times and are to a certain extent mirrored in Permaculture, the Israeli military's use of organic fertiliser spray-SKUNK- for control of demonstartors on the Left Bank (SEEN IN A BBC NEWSREEL CLIP). Followers of Plant Grow development in Jamaica will recall the Israeli directed trials of Plant Grow at the big AGRO 21- SPRING PLAINS CENTRE, in Clarendon, Jamaica, during the early to mid- 1980s

Sarah Sands: The science of GM food is king over ideology

Sarah Sands: The science of GM food is king over ideology | Food Science and Technology | Scoop.it
When London’s cats are being tossed about by tornados, it is time for us to share the concerns of our country cousins about our weather. If being gay is the cause of flooding, because it makes God cross, then London will soon be under water, for equality of sexual inclination is our capital’s badge of honour. I prefer, however, to follow the meteorology — and, more cautiously, the climate science. The Old Testament is not our trusty guide on this one.

Europe:Area/Geography

Normally over time forest begin to shrink but in Europe within the past century i. Has been doing the opposite. All over Europe re-forestation is happening. This goes under the geography catergory because the forests are a large part of the world.

Mandy & Alexandria's curator insight, February 12, 8:49 PM

this is a very good thing. This graphic shows how much greener and healthier the geography of Europe has gotten. in 2010, it shows that europes land was not so green and healthy, but now, because of the advanced farming, and agriculture, the look of it has improved by a lot.
