This makes me think of what Forest Gump's momma told him. And no, I'm not talking about liking chocolates. I love them too. But this is so STUPID and people wonder what IS making them AS sick as they are, and the STUPID fundraiser DOES what capitalist moneymakers want her or him to do. Small scale or big, it sucks.

You're right, Judith. We know all the arguments about non-profits strapped for cash, but this kind of hypocrisy is what keeps us from addressing the issue of rising diabetes rates head on.

The members of Bhartiya Kisan Union on Tuesday threatened to take a six-month holiday every year for 10 years from framing if the government fails to take note of the hardship faced by farmers over rising prices and acquisition of farm land for commercial activity.

 

Rakesh Tikait of Uttar Pradesh said with increasing input costs, farmers were finding it difficult to cultivate round the year. “If the government does not pay attention, we will be forced to take a six-month holiday every year and the government will be responsible for jeopardising food security.”

For fear of becoming a diabetic I started at a young age to have protein snacks instead of sweet pick-me-ups. Keeping low blood sugar at bay with protein can save your quality of life. Try a Laughing Cow! At only 30 cal per light triangle you do yourself and loved ones a favor.
