Elementary Education Professional Program | Western Washington University

Elementary Education Professional Program | Western Washington University | Focus Project | Scoop.it

My Thoughts:

Western Washington University has a good education program. It was originally a vocational teacher college. It has a very strong teacher certification program and I will be certified in both elementary school as well as special education. Western Washington University seems like the best college for me. Not only because of the strong teacher education program, but also because of the strong technology program. If I decide to change my major I see myself changing to a technological degree, and Western has a strong technology program. This will help me learn the process of which a student at Western needs to follow in order to become a certified teacher.

WWU is the school I will be attending to pursue a career in elementary education and this is exactly how I will be going about it. I liked seeing this in particular because it is talking about how WWU is one of the best teaching schools out there and the elementary education degree is a very comprehensive degree offered there.

My Thoughts:

In order to become the best teacher I can be in the future, I need to learn the code of ethics teachers should live by. This page lists the code of ethics teachers live by and is very helpful in knowing different "rules" of teaching. I find it most interesting that not all the rules apply to how teachers act towards students or other people around them.
