Korean Air B747-400 Flight Experience: KE1229 Gimpo to Jeju

" It was a dream come true for me to fly Korean Air's B747-400 aircraft on a domestic flight between Seoul - Gimpo (GMP) to Jeju (CJU)."

The flight was packed with holidaymakers but service was cheerful and courteous throughout the flight (and the crew are so beautiful ;) ).

It was a very nice experience with Korean Air.
Thank you very much for watching my B747-400 experience!

Jeannie Yoo's insight:

I know the video is quite long but I appreciate their effort to make this! :)

From Gimpo to Jeju is not that far away as the places are located in Korea, I can see that the passengers enjoy the flight a lot, so I'm glad about it:) As I was curious about Korean airlines, I'm thankful for those who upload this. I could see that the flight attendants are very neat, beautiful and mannered lol

Which airline serves the best food?

Which airline serves the best food? | The future flight attendant :-) | Scoop.it
With Turkish Airlines scoring a massive 86 percent for its in-flight meals recently, we want to hear about your own favorite airline edibles (Airline food -- who serves the best? My vote is for Swiss Air's business class.
Jeannie Yoo's insight:

This article is about which airline serves high quality food among passengers. Turkish airline becomes first in the ranking as 86 scores due to the meal, Singapore airlines ranks in second with 81 scores, and Etihad with 80 percent. Many people made comments that they think Asian airline industry foods are the best and next comes Middle East, and then Western airlines.

The passengers feel good that they are provided with great meal in the cabin :D

Gulf Airlines engulfed in Indian fare dogfight, Etihad, Emirates offer cheaper outbound tickets - The Economic Times

Gulf Airlines engulfed in Indian fare dogfight, Etihad, Emirates offer cheaper outbound tickets - The Economic Times | The future flight attendant :-) | Scoop.it
Air India fears the discounts are part of Etihad's long-term strategy of pulling fares down in order to capture a large chunk of Indian traffic.
Jeannie Yoo's insight:

As Fly Emirates put a lot of efforts to attract the customers, they offer discounts for passengers who gets flight from India. The articles said that Air India fears the passengers prefer the route passing by Abu Dabi in Arab Emirates not their capital Delhi. Also, because of foreign airlines the passengers in national India flight has been reduced.

These days, low-cost airlines are popular among the passengers due to low fares with high quality of service.

I think what are the important things for cabin crews about to know how to provide service for passengers.

And the most satisfying airline is ... | dailyNewsCrunch.com | The future flight attendant :-) | Scoop.it

(CNN) -- What makes airline passengers happy?

Sometimes it's as simple as a smile. Along with mobile check-in, Wi-Fi in the air and other technological advances, the simple act of airline employees smiling is increasing airline passenger satisfaction.

Jeannie Yoo's insight:

I think the most important thing for flight-attendant knows how to make the passenger comfortable, so it is important to give bright smiles for them.

It is just guess for Western airline, and my question is Isnt't all aircrews in American airline get trained how to show best smiles for passengers?

As the airlines which are based in middle-east asia or East asia, and they think that the providing best quality of service with beautiful smile is most important thing for flight attendant.

Anyhow, I feel glad that the passengers feel much more happy and comfortable whenever they see the smiles from aircrews:) Then I can expect it if I will board on the airlines too.

Also, I always attract the job 'aircrew' as I love to make smiles in front of the peole, so I want to do practice more about how to make best smiles for the service:D

Emirates delayed me for 24 hours on flight to Sydney

I arrived in Dubai on time and followed an Emirates representative to the gate for my onward flight. I was denied boarding and the staff refused to tell me why.
Jeannie Yoo's insight:

I'm..I'm totally shocked. As I aim for Emirates, but now many people said thier customer service is so poor. She had to wait on hours because she were rejected for boarding flight, and she was just given a hotel voucher. She complained that the hotel accomodation was awkward and poor as she found half of the food was left in the refrigerator.

The comment of the website everyone blames that Fly Emirates did poor service on customers. I'm also disappointed to read the comments on Fly Emirates.

What they have to do fix the problems and for me? What I have to do?:(

Jeannie Yoo's insight:

Hello, my name is Jeannie Yoo :)

I'm currently living in South Korea, and I'm a student of Linton Global College. My future dream is an aircrew that works in airlines and helps customers to be comfortable and relax in the cabin.

I started to dream about the job when I was a child, I saw beautiful flight attendants with showing strong smile and kindness. I remember that I was really thankful for stewardess who was man and he cleaned up after I threw up mistakenly in the cabin after all passengers got off the board. However, I adore their attitude, kindness and effort.

I lived in Shanghai and California during my teenager days, and I graduated high school in California. It gives me a great experience to how to get along with diverse friends without the matter of different ethnicity, culture or class. The airline is about the place where the international people are gathered, so I think it is important to understand their culture and habit too. And I feel glad that it becomes my advantage for my future career.

I always enjoy trying something new, so it encourages me like to learn and study about different culture. I think it makes me want to work for foreign airline industries more than domestic Airlines (Korean or Asiana). Especially I’m hugely interested in Fly Emirates. I like their appearance, international atmosphere and rich service for passengers. Not only Fly Emirates, I feel so happy that I want to learn the other language to be required at other foreign airline company more than English.

As I always enjoy being kind, making smile and hanging out with other friends, I've thought the job suits me well. I hope you guys can enjoy the stories and information about flight attendant from my site. ^^ Thanks a lot! Have a nice day♥

I'm always wondered that the flight attendant seems neat and fancy in the airplain even though they also feel tired. They can get pass-riding instead of paying ticket, meeting a lot of renowned people in the world, upgrading functions of airplane, and staying in great accomodation.

Most flight attendants put there heart and soul inot there job insuring a safe flight and making people feel safe and comfortable. It's been my dream to fly an airplane and be the captain fly us to saftey, but as i coutinue to fly and meet all these flight attendants and seeing there passion for flying makes me rethink my choices and decisions. Airline mix-up sends passengers to wrong continent - USA Today - USA TODAY

Airline mix-up sends passengers to wrong continent - USA Today - USA TODAY | The future flight attendant :-) | Scoop.it
A couple who had intended to fly from Los Angeles to Dakar, Senegal, ended up 7,000 miles away in Dhaka, Bangladesh, because of an airline error.
Jeannie Yoo's insight:

This is the case what airlines should provide their generous service to passengers who had mistakes and happenings. The Turkish couple had the miscommunication between airlines and them. They heard 'Dhaka' from Senegal as 'Dakar' while thinking it was pronounced by Turkish accent.

After they mistakenly take flight to 'Dhaka' from Bangladesh, they took nine hours to flight back to Istanbul. They finally reached their destination, but they got to wait two days for their luggage to be arrived.

They tried to get financial compensation about this since December, so they published their story even on media such as newspaper.

Finally, the Turkish airlines give two free economy flights to them using for every destination in Turkey.

I know this is the rare case in airline industry, but I try to understand how passengers were depressed, tired, and confused. The proper communication between passengers and airlines seems very important.

Airline Shisha Services

Airline Shisha Services | The future flight attendant :-) | Scoop.it

Next month, Dubai-based Emirates airline will be launching a unique new luxury for its first-class passengers: on-board shisha.

The airline, which is known for its luxurious offerings, will include this option alongside pre-existing pampers like its ‘Signature Spa and Onboard Lounges.'

Passengers will be able to order a shisha from the on-board menu while at their seat and then smoke in the lounge after the main meal.

“This new service will provide our Middle Eastern passengers with the sort of home comforts they've come to expect on our award-winning airline while presenting those flying to the Middle East for the first time with the opportunity to sample one of the true tastes of Arabia before they've even landed,” the Emirates statement declares.

Jeannie Yoo's insight:

I haven't been visited yet, but I know some places in Korea where provides shisha with drinking and meal.

I'm so wondered the Fly Emriates thoughts of providing their service to passengers even they choose 'shisha'!

The 'shisha' is usually called as 'waterpipe', and it becomes generalizing in Islam countries and Middle-East asia.

It does contain low nicotine but this mixes with much more water with diverse fragrance such as strawberry, bannana, or kiwi..

however, I read that smoking shisha in an hour is similar to the smoking 200 cigarettes which the research comes from WTO....  I think shisha contains much more low nicotine than cigarette, but how it becomes similar rate with 200 cigarettes? They prove the reason that the smoking by shisha goes down directly to lung.

Even if shisha doesn't give any addiction to people, I think doing too much is not good for health.

Also, I heard that some complaints about service in Fly Emirates, so it is more important for them to consider those cases.

Air France says it will cut 500 cabin jobs this year

Air France wants to trim its cabin crew by 500 through a voluntary retirement scheme, a spokeswoman said on Tuesday.

Air France-KLM has suffered from a fall of competitiveness in recent years, under pressure from low-cost operators and the rise of airlines in the Middle East and in Asia.

In January last year, the company announced a vast restructuring plan called "Transform 2015." It set aside 471 million euros ($610 million) under this plan to cover expenses related to cutting its workforce to boost productivity.

"The workforce reduction plan aims at reducing the cabin crew strength by 500," the spokeswoman told AFP.

Last year about 3,300 out 100,000 staff voluntarily left the airline group and most were not replaced. The plan targets 5,122 voluntary departures this year.

Jeannie Yoo's insight:

It seems the competitiveness is going to be serious among airlines. I can see many airlines from Asia countries receiving great compliments about their service from the passengers, so the other airlines also decide that they will improve the service by cabin crews.

Although I haven't experienced directly the flight, it seems Air France has positive attitude, atmosphere and beautiful uniform of cabin crews.

I expect to see how Air France will transform as better than their past:)

Emirates, one of the world's fastest growing airlines, unveiled a new phase of its global Share a Smile campaign in partnership with Arsenal Football Club. "With the help of Emirates' multilingual cabin crew, Arsenal players Mikel Arteta, Lukas Podolski, Wojciech Szczęsny and Theo Walcott share some well-loved football phrases in their own languages whilst showing off their footballing skills in a series of light-hearted videos."

Jeannie Yoo's insight:

As my hobby is watching soccer, I'm interested in the each club from the league. During watching the games, there are many clubs which are supported by the airlines. The airline industries usually support the uniform or materials of the club. The airline industries are increased to sponsor the club after 2010. To sponsor the each club by airline, I heard it needs astronomical amount of money for investing.

Next year, the Qatar Airways will support FC Barcelona. The Fly Emirates are already sponsered Arsenal, FC Hamburg, AC Milan and also they will go to support Real Madrid. The Air Asia from Malaysia support QPR and Cardiff City.

I love watching the soccer matches. I'm so glad that the airlines which I want to work for in the future support the soccer club.

I hope I have the opportunity to help or do the working which is related with soccer club in the future:)
