About 5.4 million students, or 1 in 4, took at least one distance education course during the fall of 2012, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.

That said, even the best online programs – like their traditional campus counterparts – have some poor professors. And it can be trickier to identify those instructors in an online course until it’s too late to switch.

The many students beginning a new online course should be aware of these six signs their professor won’t make the grade.

Este II Workshop denominado “De los libros de texto a los materiales educativos en la red” está organizado por el grupo de investigación EDULLAB. Laboratorio de Educación y Nuevas Tecnologías de la Universidad de La Laguna, integrado en la Red de Excelencia REUNI+D. Se enmarca como una acción de difusión del proyecto de investigación Escuel Digit@l EDU2015--64593-R financiado por el Plan Estatal de I+D+i.

En los últimos tiempos, la omnipresencia de las tecnologías digitales ha motivado la alteración de las formas y procesos tradicionales de elaboración, distribución, consumo, y acceso al conocimiento. Ahora vemos cómo elementos tan propios de las escuelas como son los libros de texto van tomando un formato más digital. Sin embargo, este proceso de trasformación no es aislado, lleva consigo aspectos en pro de la innovación educativa como son nuevas metodologías emergentes.

Somos conscientes de este cambio y de todo lo que ello supone, por este motivo celebramos ahora este II Workshop “De la teoría a la práctica y viceversa”, como un punto de encuentro entre investigadores del campo de la Tecnología Educativa centrados en este fenómeno, expertos en educación y TIC y docentes que desarrollan experiencias innovadoras y de esta naturaleza con su alumnado. Si eres docente, investigador, alumnado de la Facultad de Educación, alumnado de máster o doctorado, y te interesa esta temática, te invitamos a este encuentro.
