Over the past few years there has been a lot of effort towards optimizing AIR apps by targeting the GPU. This can be done by setting the rendermode to “GPU”. It turns out, however, that classic DisplayList development in the Flash universe requires a lot of optimization and special consideration before perfomance really shines. Enter Stage3D which does not render content in the display list and requires rendermode to be set to “Direct”. Delete the scoop?
