This is the reprise of an old post about detecting mouse gestures. Since I am making a quick game for my daughter using mouse (or finger gestures), I took the old algorithm and fixed a bug which prevented to correctly detect the up-right movement. Moreover, I optimized a bit the cde to avoid small movement detection. Delete the scoop?

I did a lot of tinkering with ActionScript Workers towards the end of last year. However, because I'd swapped out the PPAPI Flash Player in Google Chrome, I was oblivious to the fact that Workers weren't supported under PPAPI. Since I spend my working days bemoaning browser fragmentation with HTML and JavaScript and more than half my blog visitors use Chrome, I was pretty peeved. Delete the scoop?

Achtung, Achtung! Beware: Tales from the Crypt ahead… or, I absolutely suck at blogging this year! In fact, there´s so much to show, talk about, preview, or tell from actual projects, experiments and work I´ve done so far this year, but damn fact: Me is simply missing the spare time to write about all that stuff. Hi, Well it’s been a while and the dust was a bit thick on the blog, I’m going to start writing again. Since I have put so much time into a certain project, I would like to demystify if for all, so there is no misinformation here.

Learn how to access the Facebook JavaScript SDK from ActionScript and the Flash runtime.
Nicolas Bousquet's insight:
Well, AS SDKs are so weak and outdated now they have to resort to that kind of ugly, hard to test, hard to debug, system. BTW, Facebook AS SDK is exactly the same, wrapped up in a nice swc. It does inject at runtime some JS code in the containing html wrapper and call it from ExternalInterface as well. All this crap mainly because of the retarded crossdomain security policy Delete the scoop?

One of the features which highly contribute to the success of a physics engine is the collision detection. NAPE has a robust collision detection, although you won’t find that much information around the web, that’s why this blog is a must read :) Delete the scoop?
