Susan Bainbridge's curator insight, August 31, 2013 10:48 AM

The only downside of this 'cMOOC' is that it's missed the point of truly 'open'. I need to join them on Google+ if I'm interested. That means individuals have to join a site to participate. Mmmmm.....they should have an open site on the Internet.

VanessaVaile's comment, September 5, 2013 9:41 AM
There are a few open sites on what could emerge as #citymooc distributed networks - plus a #citymooc twitter stream. However, these are not being aggregated. There is no real discussion (connections creating knowledge), organization (not even minimal of feeds or a Daily) or aggregation to speak of. I've had connectivity issues that make G+ highly problematic to use and time consuming but, twitter excepted, there are no other networks. On the other hand, I am adding to my collection of city links, which makes it more part of of at least one PLN than an actual MOOC. That and watching to see what happens, if anything emerges, is enough for now.
