very simple- I am known to workout on an empty stomach- aside from morning pep drink (warm water,lemon,cayenne pepper&cinnamon) &black coffee-- It's after workout- within the hour i eat a good & lean source of protein & add a bit of complex carbs- Also remember once you are thirsty during your workout, you are already dehydrated. Drink water unless you are worrking out over 2 hrs. then you may want to add a bit of juice or a watered down sports drink for eloctrolyte balance
