The Scientific 7-Minute Workout

The Scientific 7-Minute Workout | Fitness and Training and Level 3 Pe | Scoop.it
In 12 exercises deploying only body weight, a chair and a wall, it fulfills the latest mandates for high-intensity effort, which essentially combines a long run and a visit to the weight room into about seven minutes of steady discomfort — all of it based on science.

50 Tips for Serious Athletes - TRAINING METHODS

50 Tips for Serious Athletes - TRAINING METHODS | Fitness and Training and Level 3 Pe | Scoop.it

50 Training Tips for Serious Athletes - Here's a couple of examples....

1. Wanna get faster for your sport? You need to sprint. Work on your acceleration first with short sprints of 5-25 yards. Later on, extend those distances to 40-60 yards or more.

6. If you're looking for a great way to work speed, leg strength, technique, and conditioning all in one workout, look no  further than hill sprints.

Hill sprints can be done anytime and anywhere there's a big scary hill. For early off-season workouts there really is no better way to build a base in each of the aspects listed above. Find a 40-60 yard hill and rip it!

Five reasons your training may be failing

Five reasons your training may be failing | Fitness and Training and Level 3 Pe | Scoop.it
We hear it time and time again, the more exercise you do, the better it is for your metabolism, your body and your mind. Now, that's all well and good but what is less frequently discussed is the fact that many of us are training poorly - so poorly in fact that our exercise may not really be doing much at all. So, here are some of the most common exercise mistakes women make, and the easy ways to fix them.

Travis Hays's comment, June 5, 3:46 PM
Me, Niko, and Nichola have read this ariticle and have come to a conclusion that "average guys were aiming for 300 bodies" this means; because of the film males were influenced to push them self to get gladiator-like bodies.

One month to massive: does CROSSFIT make women bulky? - TRAINING METHODS

One month to massive: does CROSSFIT make women bulky? - TRAINING METHODS | Fitness and Training and Level 3 Pe | Scoop.it

Something strange happened towards the end of the second week. After each session, the trainer would ask whether I'd enjoyed it. "Enjoyed?" I'd ask, confused. I was half way through a month-long experiment to see whether Crossfit builds a  bigger you. After being reduced to a pathetic puddle of a person following my  first ever class, I was curious to see how it could change your body.

YEAR 11/12 HPE - TRAINING METHODS (Crossfit).

I'm positive it changes your body...depends on what a 'woman' defines as bulky...compare physiological changes made through ANY training method to those who don't train and i'm sure you could argue that they too, make an impact.  Crossfit is just the 'popular' choice right now....next year it'll be upside down pilates (hang on, that arleady exists hey?)

The debate rages on....
