First Year Teaching Troubles
As an aspiring teacher myself, I realize that the first year is usually the hardest and most trying time in one's teaching career. It's a time where the table is turned and the student becomes the teacher. My currated magazine is targeted towards those beginning teachers that need a little encouragement and a confidence boost. Hopefully those of you that find your way to this site find these articles and videos just as inspiring and informative as I do. Of course there are going to be bumps in the road, but just like anything else, how we pick ourselves back up is what is going to count the most. Take with you the mindset of a teacher who knows, "Take chances! Get messy! Make mistakes!” (Ms. Frizzle).

What a great resource! You have a wonderful magazing with a lot of helpful resources such as this one. As a future first year educator, this is all helpful information!
Holland Bass's comment, May 7, 2013 4:01 AM
This is a good resource. We talk about rules in class, but nothing about enforcing them or using a "Teacher voice" or "stare". I think it is really good advice.

I think that the classroom set up is highly important. When having too much going on in the classroom students can easily be overwhelmed, and in order to avoid this, it is beneficial to keep an organized, mellow classroom.
