ONE BY ONE, ARGENTINIAN PLAYERS VS HOLLAND

ONE BY ONE, ARGENTINIAN PLAYERS VS HOLLAND | FIFA WORLD CUP BRAZIL 2014 | Scoop.it
Juan Cruz Mazza's insight:

After 24 years, the Argentina national football team reached the final of the World Cup. The last time this happened was in the 1990 World Cup in Italy, when pitted against Germany, the same opponent the final match of this World Cup. But for this, Argentina had to play against the mighty Netherlands, these are the players who won through penalties 4-2:

Sergio Romero (goalkeeper, 10): He had his dream night, taking two important shots of the Dutch players, but his great performance was crowned with two penalty kicks, he interrupted to Vlaar and Sneijder;

Pablo Zabaleta (defender, 8): Completely annulled Dutch excesses, his only complication was Robben;

Martín Demichelis (defender, 8): Not missed any Dutch player for his side of the field, Robben was infiltrated only once;

Ezequiel Garay (defender, 8): We always won when he played Van Persie up, took it out of the game completely, and also scored his penalty kick brilliantly

Marcos Rojo (defender, 7): It was not his best game, but it was a great game for him; marked as he always does;

Enzo Pérez (midfielder, 8,5): Replaced Di Maria greatly, handling the ball safely, and with its fast attack complicated the Dutch defenders;

Lucas Biglia (midfielder, 10): Prevented many Dutch plays, and recovered important balls. He ran 120 minutes despite having an injured left arm. The best game of his career;

Javier Mascherano (midfielder, 10): Saved to Argentina, avoiding the goal of Robben. He closed the Dutch's moves all the time, he was a coach on the court;

Ezequiel Lavezzi (forward, 6): Rapidly attacked by the sides, but quickly got tired in the second half and could not keep pace;

Gonzalo Higuaín (forward, 7): He had the clearest chance of the match goal. He attacked pretty, although Vlaar forced him to play delayed;

Lionel Messi (forward, 6): He did not play too much as it Vlaar controlled quite well. However he had several interesting plays.

Also played Rodrigo Palacio, Sergio Aguero and Maxi Rodriguez, but did not play long enough to have score.
