This shows how important it is to treat cats properly.  This is the first time I have heard of feral cats actually working as a group to attack a human, however, anyone that has a cat knows they can be deadly.  They're designed to hunt.

Feral cats are not just a problem in France but in the US as well.  Each female feral cat averages 2-5 but as many as 8 kittens three times per year.  That means at the high end 27 kittens per year per female.  Of course the amount goes up expedentially because each of those litters produces more females that also can produce up to 27 kittens per year.  You get the picture.

We need to be kind to these animals and have them nuetered or spayed to prevent these explosions in population.  The average house cat can live up to 20 years, while their feral counterpart averages 3-4 years. It shows how difficult their life truly is.

Scientists and ecologists have long suspected feral cats were partly to blame for the dramatic decline of native animals across northern Australia over the past 20 years.
