LOWER EAST SIDE — The Hester Street Fair is back — and more delicious than ever.
The weekly outdoor fair is launching its third season April 28 with a mix of more than three-dozen veteran vendors and first-timers, serving up everything from artisanal eats to vintage fashion.
Newcomers this season include Pies 'n' Thighs, which will offer its signature fried chicken on a buttermilk biscuit with honey butter and hot sauce, and Sons of Essex, which will sell chilled citrus lump crab tacos.
Other new dishes include a pork belly sandwich with kimchi from We Rub You and towering stacks of chocolate, homemade marshmallows and freshly baked graham crackers from S'amore Gourmet S'mores.
"The Hester Street Fair started off as a passion project," co-creator SuChin Pak said in a statement.
"We imagined a space where friends and neighbors in the creative community could have a place to find an audience and launch a small business. It has grown beyond our wildest expectations."
Also new this season are She Hit Pause Studios, which sells whimsical Polaroid photos, and LYRALOVESTAR by Crystal Streets, which offers celestial-inspired jewelry.
Popular returning vendors include Luke's Lobster, Melt Bakery, Macaron Parlour, Estate Jewels by George & Raf and Dolls and Robots.
To kick off the new season and celebrate the new vendors, the Hester Street Fair will host an opening-day DJ set by local synth-pop band Bubbles. Those who need a calming break from all the shopping and eating can try a $1 outdoor yoga class by the nonprofit Compass Yoga.
The Hester Street Fair, at Hester and Essex streets, runs Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 28 through Oct. 27.
