Making A Unique Statement With Finger Tattoos

Making A Unique Statement With Finger Tattoos | Fashion, Let's do this. | Scoop.it

Finger tattoos are a bit like modern tribal art. It may seem that having ink applied to fingers is more popular than ever before. It may be that many more have embraced this combination of expression and style as being socially acceptable. It may also be that those who are attracted to this type of fashion are no longer constrained by what society thinks. Your fingers are probably one of the most visible areas of your body after your face and head. Whatever you put there is seen readily. Some employers disapprove of hiring individuals who display digit ink even though legalities work to keep them from discrimination in this area. With many people uncomfortable seeing it, the decision to make this kind of unique statement should not be made on the spur of the moment. The highly personal nature of announcing sentiments and commitments is easily understood when viewing matching tattooed hands of couples. Some do it simply because they believe that it is a forever statement that clearly trumps wearing removable wedding or engagement rings. Each person in the couple must consider the process carefully, however, because it can be more painful for some than for others and covering up ink from a breakup is generally costly and time consuming. The bravest among us are using tribal art to make fashion statements with their ink. These kinds of designs have existed in cultures around the world for generations, so this is not a new idea. What is striking about the trend is that so many are adding bold additions to their hands and wearing their art in many modern environments. If you choose to add a cute and tiny design to a single knuckle, most people won't really mind. But once you decide to cover every knuckle you have on both hands with explosions of designs and colors totally unrelated to each other, you start turning heads. Even so, intriguing statements and inspirational thoughts are cropping up on knuckles all the time. Finger tattoos are for the brave hearts in the world's crowd. Hands are often right in your face, so to speak. If you are one who stands away from the crowd, this may be your way to express yourself. Looking for aztec tattoo design help? Fashion Moment: The Mods of the 1960s

Fashion Moment: The Mods of the 1960s | Fashion, Let's do this. | Scoop.it
Originating in London, the Mods were avid in their appreciation of continental music, films and fashion, obsessive about grooming and infatuated with ultra-neat tailoring. Whereas the hipsters of today make the most of the economic downturn with second-hand threads, the Mods were the first generation since the War with disposable income.
