Your Food Is Poisoning You

Your Food Is Poisoning You | Farms and Food | Scoop.it
Despite being treated like Bigfoot believers by their opponents, pesticide ascetics are inching their way toward credibility. Introduced by Monsanto in the early 1970s under the trade name Roundup (and used primarily back then as a weed killer), glyphosate is now used throughout the world on wheat and soy crops and since 2007 it has been the most widely used herbicide in the U.S.

Ken Schneider's insight:

Scientific testing is the answer; but the question should be is this stuff safe for people to eat, not does this stuff kill weeds. The burden of proof is on the proponent ... not the opponent!

GMO foods; burden of proof should be on industry to prove health and safety #scientificmethod

...because food's purpose is to be eaten for life and health. If a GMO crop is proven to work for industries intention i.e. herbicide resistance the science is sound but the purpose is wrong. That would be like approving drugs for the purpose of shelf life or solubility in water ... decidedly beside the point!
