What Are Your Competitors doing? Free Facebook Competitive Intelligence Spreadsheet

What Are Your Competitors doing? Free Facebook Competitive Intelligence Spreadsheet | Facebook Marketing Strategist | Scoop.it

Your competitors can come up and secure your customers without you noticing. Keeping tabs on them is a nice cushion to make sure it isn’t happening. With the updates made on Facebook daily, it can kind of be hard to look at competitors constantly, especially when you have your own work to do. However, like mentioned above the small tabs to you can keep on your competitors to compare your own roadmaps of Facebook to theirs.

I created this spreadsheet for you to do just that.

Do You Know How Social Currency Influences Behavior?

Do You Know How Social Currency Influences Behavior? | Facebook Marketing Strategist | Scoop.it
Conversation Agent quotes on Influence from Valeria Maltoni It's the age of the connected customer and people are now comfortable using technology to share -- privately or in public.

Here are some highlights:

How social currency influences behavior

**Social influences include peer pressure and social exchange. The latter is stronger than an economic motive.

**Most human interactions consist of an exchange of value. From a psychological standpoint, actions like sharing signal desire for self expression, need for validation, and social status recognition, and also simply altruism and affinity with a group or cause.

**Both social influences are amplified in public settings.

Psychologist Robert Cialdini documented six principles of ethical persuasion:

**social proof

**authority

**affinity

**commitment

**consistency

**reciprocity

Facebook Asks You To Please Select Your Emotion | TechCrunch

Facebook Asks You To Please Select Your Emotion | TechCrunch | Facebook Marketing Strategist | Scoop.it

It could make us more willing to express how we feel. Or you could say it over-simplies our complex moods and lives. But today the Facebook status update box began offering the option to “share how you’re feeling or what you’re doing” through a drop-down menu of emoticons and media. We’re entering a more structured era of communication, where both friends and big data know exactly how we tick.

Facebook began testing the new sharing options in January, but only released screenshots. Now it appears the feature has been given to a much wider audience. It’s likely the beginning of a global or at least US or English language rollout. I’ve contacted Facebook for details. Most mentions I’ve seen of the feature have been from the US, and many note the similarity to an old Myspace mood sharing option.

Just one of the many ways to share over social media; Facebook allows members to share how they are feeling, what they are listening to or watching to their Facebook friends or if the profile is public than anyone has access to see what you as a member are wanting to share with the internet world.

Contagious Content: Facebook Posts That Get Shared Like Crazy | Facebook Marketing Strategist | Scoop.it

This blog from Brian Carter discusses the characteristics of highly shareable Facebook posts.

SUMMARY: Deloitte's photo album of a walkway takeover during the 2013 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, provides a great example of how B2B brands can use social media to their advantage, writes Brian Carter, author of "The Like Economy." Even as simple an idea as Cisco carving a pumpkin to look like a router can engage customers and inspire contagious sharing, Carter writes.
