Social media has definitely shaped the way we view television. This article talks about it more on a politics side, but we have allowed it to shape our view when it comes to watching anything.  Television networks know this, and they use this to their advantage. A really big example my generation can depend on is the award shows.

One of Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is to Begin with the End in Mind.

This infographic does just that – recognizing that you need to establish your goals first when looking to your social media marketing strategy.

It doesn’t simply speak about conversions – it speaks to the other business uses of social media: Brand Marketing, Thought Leaderhsip, Service and Sales Prospecting. Much of the strength of social media doesn’t come from the immediate push… it’s the echos and volume that are established over time.

How The World Would Look If We Could See All The Radiation From Our Cell Phones

How The World Would Look If We Could See All The Radiation From Our Cell Phones | Evolving Social Media: Good or Bad | Scoop.it

If you’re reading this, you’re likely bathed in several channels of cell phone radiation at once. But while we can spot cell phone towers and antennae, the waves themselves remain invisible. Following up on a project to visualize what Wi-Fi might look like in cities, artist-researcher Nickolay Lamm has imagined what cell phone radiation would look like if emitted as waves of light.

Lamm worked with eight academics and engineers to verify that the images we’re looking at are accurate representations of cell phone radiation. Like radio, cell phones rely on radio frequency waves, which emit low-energy radiation. Unlike ionizing radiation--released by higher-energy gamma rays, x-rays, and ultraviolet rays--exposure to cell phones’ non-ionizing radiation has not been proven to cause serious damage to living tissue

We are bathing in a deadly cocktail of radiation! No wonder it is like being at the receiving end in a microwave oven. Radiation can alter our DNA, and cause mutations to happen! Mutation may be defined as accelerated evolution in layman's terms! Increasing cases of cancer, pshyco-neural complications, birth defects, you name it, all these can be aggravated by this deadly exposure to radiation! No wonder we are so obsessed with technology that we are ready to ignore all those emissions all for the sake of comfort! This is an article that is simply laying bare the facts!

Guide to Social Media Advertising: Infographic

Guide to Social Media Advertising: Infographic | Evolving Social Media: Good or Bad | Scoop.it

With social media ad revenues expected to grow to $11 billion dollars by the year 2017, social advertising has become a huge topic of interest amongst marketers.  In fact, Facebook alone is expected to make close to $1 billion from its mobile ad revenue in 2013, according to the latest estimates.

Social media is fast becoming a bigger part of the ad buying efforts of brands and agencies across the globe, and for good reason. As Salesforce Marketing Cloud VP Peter Goodman notes, “Social ads reach the audience in which you’ve invested a lot of money and time into nurturing.  You can see which audiences are engaging the most, so you can ensure that your ads are being bought correctly and you’re actually growing your fan base based on true data.”

Using Experiential Marketing to “Wow” New Customers | Help Scout

Using Experiential Marketing to “Wow” New Customers | Help Scout | Evolving Social Media: Good or Bad | Scoop.it

Experiential marketing is a method of advertising through an interactive experience that gets customers to talk about your business or product. It can be an extremely powerful tool for those companies that want to leave a strong and lasting impression on customers.

It’s a unique take on attracting customers, as it relies heavily on creativity to not only capture attention, but to motivate people to experiment with and refer your products to others.

Costs can be low—this is definitely a guerilla tactic at heart and will rely more on thinking outside the box than shelling out the kind of money that’s required in traditional advertising.

Perhaps it’s easiest to explain the process by highlighting some successful uses of a memorable customer experience as a marketing tactic....

HOW SCOOP IT CHANGED MY SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING STRATEGY BY ACCIDENT

As I began this process of building my "brand" .. creating my online image and my professional presentation, I had a lot to figure out.  I created my first website, facebook and Linked In account.  I made the decision to "market" myself a Lite Feet dancer, if you read my bio it is one of the accomplishments in my life for which I am very proud.  The problem there was no single source of information of LITE FEET DANCE.   My introduction to Scoop It was perfect timing, it gave me an opportunity to create a LITE FEET SCOOP -- I had been dancing since I was 14 and I had come to know all the founders and the main Lite Feet websites, the history of Lite Feet dance,  the multitude of YouTube Channels, websites, facebook pages and Lite Feet Sound Cloud accounts, and I felt a great responsibility to curate and create the first and only LITE FEET SCOOP.  Creating this scoop gave me a link to provide as a reference to my own "LIte Feet Dancer" identity but also was a unique opportunity to curate, what I believe to be, an important, relevent and for the most part unnoticed dance phenom and YouTube Sensation that is  Lite Feet Dance.  My efforts to high lite the incredible talent of these young dancers has been an honor and I will continue to add to scoop as new content becomes available.

DLite Scoops Lite Feet Dance:

I then created several other relevent scoops for my story, and I created them in the hopes that sharing my journey would hopefully help others with similar journeys.
