How Video Games Will Look in 2021 - IGN

What kinds of games will we be playing in ten years time?
Dylan Klemm's insight:

Here's an article about How Video Games will look in roughly 10 years. Its truly inspiring to see how the gaming industry has gone from single buttons, to wireless controllers and now at the point of motion control. When the future of video gaming is mentioned there's always going to be talk about Virtual Reality, and honestly there is already gaming devices that can create this. The games we know and love today will be considered 'retro' in 10 years time, old classics like Pacman or Pong may even be forgotten when newer graphics and motion capture filming. It just goes to show how hard it is to actually predict where the gaming industry is heading in 5-10 years time from now.

Dylan Klemm's insight:

An interesting article discussing all of Sony's new feature ideas for their newest console the PS4. Sony believe this is the future of gaming. They have over-the-top graphics, motion control, voice recognition, touch pad on controllers. Who knows what they'll end up adding on the PS5 in 10 or-so years time.

Jocelyn Mayr's curator insight, March 21, 2013 5:22 AM

This is actually quite a surprising article because each time Sony or Microsoft creates a new console they are just adding extra features. Soon the whole world be playing games even those with bad access to internet. With other gaming consoles becoming more affordable because of all the new releases, gaming is becoming easier to acess and buy. Although game developing companies do this to compete against the other gaming companies, my opinion is that they should save the money to create something that does not need to be updated something remarakable that no other company can do. Although this is a good article telling society the thoughts on the new gaming consoles it has its negatives with how it will affect society in the near future.
