Fisheye lenses are great to make shots more dynamic and unusual. The view can be increased up to 120-180 degrees depending on which fisheye you use, so it's a wide-angle lens which allows you to take some real panoramic shots. It's also great if you are too close to your subject (a building, a room, etc..) to fit it all in.
