Abstract

 

The processes of mobilization of land for infrastructures of public and private domain are developed according to proper legal frameworks and systematically confronted with the impoverished national situation as regards the cadastral identification and regularization, which leads to big inefficiencies, sometimes with very negative impact to the overall effectiveness.

 

This project report describes Ferbritas Cadastre Information System (FBSIC) project and tools, which in conjunction with other applications, allow managing the entire life-cycle of Land Acquisition and Cadastre, including support to field activities with the integration of information collected in the field, the development of multi-criteria analysis information, monitoring all information in the exploration stage, and the automated generation of outputs. The benefits are evident at the level of operational efficiency, including tools that enable process integration and standardization of procedures, facilitate analysis and quality control and maximize performance in the acquisition, maintenance and management of registration information and expropriation (expropriation projects). Therefore, the implemented system achieves levels of robustness, comprehensiveness, openness, scalability and reliability suitable for a structural platform.

 

The resultant solution, FBSIC, is a fit-for-purpose cadastre information system rooted in the field of railway infrastructures.

 

FBSIC integrating nature of allows: to accomplish present needs and scale to meet future services; to collect, maintain, manage and share all information in one common platform, and transform it into knowledge; to relate with other platforms; to increase accuracy and productivity of business processes related with land property management.

Free — or very inexpensive — online courses have become quite a trend in education. Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) providers currently offer thousands of courses and have enticed millions of students to enroll. The emphasis in MOOCs is often on lecture videos that students watch and learn from.
However, a study published in the Proceedings of the Second (2015) ACM Conference on Learning @ Scale shows that this central approach of MOOCs — having students watch to learn — is ineffective. Instead, the emphasis on interactive activities as advocated by Carnegie Mellon University’s Simon Initiative helps students learn about six times more.

How will climate change impact on water management?
A rise in global temperatures will lead to an intensification of the hydrological cycle, causing more severe dry seasons and wetter rainy seasons, as well as more frequent extreme events.

According to the European Environment Agency, the main climate change consequences related to water resources are increases in temperature, shifts in precipitation patterns and snow cover and a likely increase in the frequency of flooding and droughts.

Precipitation changes are expected to differ from region-to-region with some areas becoming wetter and some dryer.

Deep learning has been proven to yield reliably generalizable solutions to numerous classification and decision tasks. Here, we demonstrate for the first time to our knowledge that deep neural networks (DNNs) can be trained to solve end-to-end inverse problems in computational imaging. We experimentally built and tested a lensless imaging system where a DNN was trained to recover phase objects given their propagated intensity diffraction patterns.

Geoide - IBGE :: Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística

Em 1828, C.F. Gauss introduziu um modelo aperfeiçoado da figura da Terra, mas o termo geoide foi criado em 1873 por J.F. Listing. O geoide é limitado por uma superfície equipotencial do campo de gravidade da Terra que coincide com o nível médio não perturbado dos mares. Em cada ponto o vetor gravidade será perpendicular à superfície. Para estimar a forma do geoide é introduzido um campo de referência, conhecido como elipsoide de revolução com dimensões e características matematicamente definidas. A partir de então, podemos imaginar a superfície geoidal prolongada através dos continentes, ela tem um formato ondulatório levemente irregular que acompanha as variações da estrutura de distribuição de massa da Terra. Essa ondulação é suave e fica em torno ±30 m, sendo o valor máximo de ±100m, em relação ao elipsoide de referência.

Since this is a basic set of exercises we will take a closer look at the arguments of these functions and how to take advantage of the output of each function so we can find a model that fits our data.

Before starting this set of exercises, I strongly suggest you look at the R Documentation of lm and glm.

Note: This set of exercises assume that you have a basic understanding of generalized linear models.

The study was carried out for Indian capital city Delhi using Hyperion sensor onboard EO-1 satellite of NASA. After MODTRAN-4 based atmospheric correction, MNF, PPI and n-D visualizer were applied and endmembers of 11 LCLU classes were derived which were employed in classification of LULC. To incur better classification accuracy, a comparative study was also carried out to evaluate the potential of three classifier algorithms namely Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Spectral Angle Mapper (SAM). The results of this study reemphasize the utility of satellite borne hyperspectral data to extract endmembers and also to delineate the potential of random forest as expert classifier to assess land cover with higher classification accuracy that outperformed the SVM by 19% and SAM by 27% in overall accuracy. This research work contributes positively to the issue of land cover classification through exploration of hyperspectral endmembers. The comparison of classification algorithms’ performance is valuable for decision makers to choose better classifier for more accurate information extraction.
