How NFL Balked on 1st Openly Gay Player

How NFL Balked on 1st Openly Gay Player | Everything Football | Scoop.it

The team had decided yes. The player had decided the same. It was set. It was going to happen. An NFL player was going to publicly say he was gay and then play in the NFL.

What happened before that moment showed how parts of the NFL are progressive and ready for change. Then, what happened next showed how the sport is still in some ways fearful of it.

A huge Week 15 game for both teams! I think the loser will fail to make it to the playoffs!

This is great news if you happen to be a Dallas Cowboys fan! This could be the end of the line as far as the Green Bay Packers postseason prospects. I don't see QB Matt Flynn going into Dallas in a big game for both teams and leading the Pack to a win.

Alex Meek's curator insight, July 1, 2013 4:14 PM

Everyone uses social media in one way or another these days. Look at this article, Top NFL teams on social media? They must be using it a lot, just reinforcing the notion that technology and social media are shaping our lives.

Andrea Remmert's curator insight, July 31, 2013 1:22 AM

Very cool! Certain teams are also using the hub to track all media on the team in one place. The Broncos are one team using the hub and it is fantastic to see all news and updates on one page.

This kid can do it all and the Seattle Seahawks are very fortunate to have him. He's doing some pretty amazing things and will only get better as he gains more experience. Could he be the next Tom Brady?

I have a funny feeling the Big Apple will be seeing the Seahawks again in a little over a month from now.

Lions, Eagles and Snow: The Hardest, Most Fun NFL Game I’ve Ever Shot | Everything Football | Scoop.it
On Sunday I covered what was easily the hardest football game I’ve ever been asked to shoot. In turn it was the most fun I’ve ever had on an assignment.
The forecast for Sunday called for a “dusting” of snow.

Via Thomas Faltin
Michael Richards's insight:

This game was probably the hardest game I've ever had to watch because of all of the turnovers that were caused by the snow.
