When western Nebraska rancher Deb Fischer graduated from the LEAD program almost 15 years ago, she put the experience to use by becoming involved with the school board.

Local leadership programs are the epitome of everyday leadership.  I graduated from the Prince William Community Leadership Institute and the training has been useful in working with my homeowners association, helping my local community in several areas, and being a participating citizen.

The greatness of everyday leadership is trusting yourself, your intuition, and that voice the gives you energy and decisiveness.  Rudyard Kipling may have said it best when he penned these words, "If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, but make allowance for their doubting too..."  Intuition is also vision to see what others can't or don't want to see.  Intuition coupled with intellect is a powerful resource to influence and be the change you want to see!
