Namche Bazaar Trek

Namche Bazaar Trek | Everest Region Trekking | Scoop.it

Namche Bazaar Trek is short and sweet Everest view trekking in Everest Trekking Region. Namche Bazqqr is main trekking city. Everest Trek in Namche Bazaar is a village in the Khumbu region of Nepal. Namche is located at 3,440 meters (11,286 ft.). From the bridge over the Dudh Kosi, the trail winds its
way up a "big" hill, finally cresting at a small building which also serves as an army/police check point.
Almost everyone trekking in the Khumbu region will visit Namche Bazaar, as it is the gateway to the high Himalayas. Visitors are likely stay at least one night, if not two for altitude acclimatization. The village has many shops and lodges where one can find almost anything required for trekking (no camera repair shops), although prices are higher than in Kathmandu. However, the higher you go up into the Khumbu, the more expensive everything gets so by the time you reach Lobuche (4,930m/16,175'), the prices in Namche will seem quite reasonable.
Namche Bazaar is the administrative center for the Khumbu region so there are many Nepalese officials, a police check post and a bank. Near the top of the village is the headquarters for Sagarmatha National Park as well as Nepalese army barracks. Immediately west of Namche is Kongde Ri at 6,187 metres (20,298 ft.) and to the east is Thamserku at 6,608 metres (21,680 ft.).

Phaplu to Everest Base Camp Trek

Phaplu to Everest Base Camp Trek | Everest Region Trekking | Scoop.it

Phaplu to Everest Base Camp Trek is best trekking trails and destination for trekker which gives you attractive and nice view of natural scene and great Himalayan view on the way of trekking route. Also meets many Sherpa Villages with their typical culture, tradition and lifestyl of pelple. This longer approach to Mt Everest follows in the footsteps of the early expeditions but with a slight variation. To avoid the long bus drive to the original trailhead of Jiri we fly into Phaplu to begin our trek through the much quieter Solu region of the Solu-Khumbu. We cross the Trakshindo La before descending towards the raging river of the Dudh Kosi. We follow the "milk river" north through terraced hillsides and small villages to join the main Everest trail below Lukla. By now you will have had time to adjust to life on the trail and with the benefits of increased fitness make the ascent to Namche Bazaar. Once in the Khumbu region the mountain views improve with every step - Kwangde, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, the "horse saddle" of Kanteiga and of course the summit of Everest itself. We allow ample time for acclimatization and exploration of the area in preparation for the ascent of Kala Pattar (5545m). A down departure from Lobuche sees us wending our way through glacial moraine until the peak comes into view. Finally we reach the summit to be rewarded with the famous view of the south face of Everest. We return via a different route through Pangboche to Lukla for the spectacular flight back to Kathmandu.

Jiri to Everest Base camp Trek

Jiri to Everest Base camp Trek | Everest Region Trekking | Scoop.it

Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek is longest and good enjoyable with moderate to strenous trek which Starts with a 6 hour (188km/118miles) drive to Jiri (2,100m/6,888ft) this trek
follows the traditional route taken by the early Everest expeditions and still serves as main artery to the roadless Sagarmatha (Everest) region.

Everest Trekking region is known as the Solu-Khumbu it is the home of the Sherpas. This relatively tiny society of 8,000 people is the best known and most this is the top of mount everest view which view can be seen on trek of jiri to everest basecampadmired of all Nepal's ethnic groups. According to their oral history Sherpas migrated to high valleys south of Mt. Everest from eastern Tibet about 450 years ago, hence the name Shar-pa, "peoples of the east." Many families along this route have converted their homes into trekkers' lodges catering to foreign hikers.

Although a popular trekking route the Everest area is visited by only some 8,000 visitors each year - a fraction of the number that visits the Annapurna region. Trekking through the Sherpa villages we share many of their hearths and enjoy their generous hospitality.

Trekking from Jiri has the advantage of helping you to acclimatise en route. This trek is about 190km/120miles long and the total altitude gained on the inumerable uphill portions totals 9000m - much higer even than Mt. Everest. After Namche we follow the main trail to base camp (as per the 15-Day Close Encounter With Everest itinerary) with all its attraction. A legendary trek to a legendary destination.

On they way of this trekking and lodging from 2,100m (6,888ft) to 4,940m (16,200ft) with optional day hikes up to 5,550m (18,200ft). Accommodation in comfortable lodges run by Sherpa families.

The trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu and includes all meals, services of experienced local guide and porters to carry luggage. Clients carry a day-pack only and walk at their own pace.
