We all need collaborators who are willing to bring the reality check. The difference between skeptics and cynics is a focus on moving forward.
Such an insightful article! Main ideas here:
Embrace skeptics. They will keep you focused, they'll push you to refine your ideas. They can be annoying, sure... but they can also be of great help to make ideas happen.
Cynics on the other hand are not focused on resolutions. Rather than trying to overcome problems and pushing the search for a solution, they obsess over what is wrong or broken.
P.S.: I subscribe to a newsletter called Great Work Provocations. Last week, it brought me this little gem: "Invite the skeptics in. They’re desperate to be proven wrong. But avoid the cynics. They’ve already made their minds up."
