Marketing automation has never been part of my reality. Maybe it's because I've never been in an industry where leads were a numbers game, or maybe I've just been behind the curve. Ryan has some great tips here - my favorites are: Auto-responders in the pre-show phase and Drip Campaigns after the fact. Any show I've attended could see value in both of these.
