Your customer is on a mission. Maybe she wants a new television. Maybe he wants an easier process for keeping his wardrobe up to date. Maybe she simply wants to shop for the 
pleasure of shopping. But your customer is trying to achieve a goal. And your job as a retailer is to help him or her achieve it.

To enable that, you must do two things. First, you need to attract customers to your brand. And second, you have to understand them — and everything that affects their shopping experience— completely enough that you can meet their expectations.
