Adoption law shifts to ‘long-term happiness of children’

Adoption law shifts to ‘long-term happiness of children’ | Eugenics | Scoop.it
More children will be removed from their biological parents and placed for adoption, under “urgent” new rules to be announced by ministers. For the first time it will be a legal requirement that family courts and councils prioritise the “long-term stability and happiness” of children, Education Secretary Nicky Morgan said. The emphasis on placing vulnerable children in the care of families who can look after them right up until their 18th birthday is likely to see more adoptions – in attempt to reduce the number of young people bouncing in and out of the care system.

Northern Ireland abortion laws breach human rights legislation, court rules

Northern Ireland abortion laws breach human rights legislation, court rules | Eugenics | Scoop.it
Northern Ireland's abortion laws break the EU human rights rules, Belfast High Court has ruled.

The ruling comes after a challenge brought by the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission (NIHRC), which seeks the legalisation of abortion in cases of serious fetal malformation, rape and incest.

Among those who had made submissions at the hearing was a 13-year-old girl who became pregnant as a result of incest, the Belfast Telegraph reports.

Unlike other parts of the UK, the 1967 Abortion Act does not extend to Northern Ireland, and anyone who offers an illegal termination could face a life prison sentence.

Official figures show that more than 800 women travelled from Northern Ireland - where abortion remains illegal unless the life or mental health of the mother is in danger - to get abortions in England and Wales in 2013.

Vaccines Damage Developing Brains

Vaccines Damage Developing Brains | Eugenics | Scoop.it

During the first two years of life, a child's brain undergoes extensive development, especially of pathways used in higher functions such as thinking, learning, attention, memory, social control, and language. While 80 percent of brain growth is complete by age 4, the frontal lobes continue to develop until around age 26.

This explains why mental illness peaks during adolescence. Studies also show that serious mental disorders begin very early in life, even during infancy or in the womb. It also explains why adolescents take risks and often exercise poor judgment — those parts of the brain are still poorly developed.

I am convinced that the vaccine schedule interferes with this development. The results are antisocial behaviors, poor judgment, and learning difficulties. To learn more about the dangers of vaccines, read my special report "Vaccines and Brain Injuries — Are You At Risk?"

5 Million Nigerians Oppose Monsanto's Plans to Introduce GMO Cotton and Corn

5 Million Nigerians Oppose Monsanto's Plans to Introduce GMO Cotton and Corn | Eugenics | Scoop.it

One-hundred organizations representing more than 5 million Nigerians, including farmers, faith-based organisations, civil society groups, students and local community groups, have submitted a joint objection to the country’s National Biosafety Management Agency (NABMA) expressing serious concerns about human health and environmental risks of genetically altered crops.

The groups’ petition follows Monsanto Agricultural Nigeria Limited’s own application to NAMBA that seeks to release GMO cotton (Bt cotton, event MON 15985) into the city of Zaria as well as surrounding towns.

Another application seeks confined field trials of two GMO corn varieties (NK603 and stacked event MON 89034 x NK603) in multiple locations in Nigeria.

In a press release, the groups said they are particularly alarmed about the commercial release of Bt cotton into Nigeria, which is being phased out in Burkina Faso due to the “inferior lint quality” of the GMO cultivars.
