L’IA, la blockchain ou la biométrie figurent bien loin du Top 3 des attentes voyageurs qui privilégient plutôt l’accès gratuit au Wi-Fi.

Bien loin des dernières innovations de ruptures telles que l’IA ou la blockchain, en 2018, 46 % des voyageurs placent l’accès gratuit au Wi-Fi comme priorité absolue en matière de services de voyage.

Airbnb’s growth is slowing amid increasing competition from Booking and Expedia

Airbnb has reached peak Airbnb, at least in its most mature markets in the U.S. and Europe, according to a new report from Morgan Stanley Research.

A follow-up to last year’s annual AlphaWise survey of 4,000 consumers in the U.S., UK, France, and Germany, the report found a continuation of slower growth for the homesharing giant in those markets, as well as increasing competition from online travel agencies Booking and Expedia.

Booking.com’s alternative accommodations listings surge

In the third quarter, Booking.com reported having 21% more global alternative accommodations listings than it reported having in the same quarter last year.

Booking.com's biggest competitors in the U.S. market are Airbnb and HomeAway. An Airbnb spokesman confirmed the company has "5 million-plus" listings. HomeAway, owned by Expedia Group, has about 1.8 million online-bookable listings, more than 300,000 of which are integrated on its core OTA platform, according to its most recent financial results.

La SNCF et Blablacar ont annoncé lundi être entrés en négociation exclusive en vue de la cession de Ouibus, la filiale de « cars Macron » du groupe public ferroviaire, au leader européen du covoiturage.

A partir de l’été 2019,  il sera alors possible, pour aller d’un point A à un point B, de combiner les modes de transports: train, bus et covoiturage, et cela en quelques clics. En effet, la SNCF va céder Ouibus, sa compagnie de « cars Macron », à BlaBlaCar et va participer à une augmentation de capital de 101 millions d’euros de la plate-forme de covoiturage, dont elle va proposer les services sur son site oui.sncf.
