Smartphones Take Over Paid Desktop Search - eMarketer

The smartphone continues to eat away at desktop’s share of search clicks, at least for paid ads placed on Google. According to August research, the handheld device has increased its share of paid search clicks by about 20 percentage points since 2015, becoming the leading channel for search clicks earlier this year.

Der Beacon ist ein Dispositiv, mit dem man unmittelbare und in einen Zusammenhang gestellte Informationen auf seinem Smartphone, seinem Tablett oder auf seinem Computer empfangen kann. Dank der Technologie BLE („Bluetooth Low Energy“) geolokalisiert ein kleiner Sensor ein Gerät, wenn es sich in der Nähe befindet und sendet ihm die Mitteilungen. Es kann sich um Nachrichten, Promotionen oder auch um praktische Informationen handeln. Um diese Informationen erhalten zu können, muss der Benutzer „Bluetooth“ auf seinem Gerät aktivieren und eine spezifische Applikation downloaden.

Despite the huge popularity of social networking among teens, more respondents reported using Gmail than Snapchat or Facebook, June 2016 research uncovered. The only site used more than Gmail was YouTube, which is not surprising given the plethora of content and influencers available on the video-sharing site.

Le beacon est un dispositif qui permet de recevoir des informations instantanées et contextualisées sur son smartphone, sa tablette ou son ordinateur. Grâce à la technologie BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), un petit capteur géolocalise l’appareil lorsque celui-ci se trouve à proximité et lui envoie des notifications. Il peut s’agir de messages, de promotions ou encore d’informations pratiques. Booking.com pilots mobile-based in-destination experience

Booking.com claims Experiences is “a first-of-its-kind, highly curated, mobile-led experience that will harness Artificial Intelligence technology and powerful machine-learning to predict individual traveller intent and create a truly convenient, personalised in-destination experience”.
The in-destination product, which had its initial launch in Amsterdam, is now available in London, Paris, Rome and Dubai. It is expected to go live in New York in autumn.
