Team Physician Discusses Hidden Threats to Athletes.
Jacob Thompson's insight:

A very deep and insightful article on threats hidden in sports that people don't know about and physicians are hesitant to  tell. Once you get past the technical difficulties it is long and good.

Jacob Thompson's insight:

A very short but intense insight from a doctor about how the medical system is not protecting their athletes correctly because of the money that is involved or just because our doctors are not educated properly. Something I found extremely interesting working with doctors prescribing treatments for soldiers everyday.

Jacob Thompson's insight:

Multiple doctors talking about how young athletes are getting overworked and are having overuse injuries. The first thing that comes to mind is the T.V show that features toddlers being beauty queens. With all the controversy and angry people commenting about how parents are forcing their kids to compete in pageants I cant help but  now think how many parents are injuring their kids physically by forcing them to play sports.

Jacob Thompson's insight:

As a marathon runner and triathlete I have always carb loaded and have searched for monosaccharide's that are available fast and in large capacities. This has been the case for many of athletes and the way Peter Attia describes his own journey, and how he experimented with his own body, will really help current and aspiring athletes continue their journey to challenge their body to their limits.
