College Football Needs PR (And an Ethics Refresher) | Flack Me | Ethics in Coaching Football | Scoop.it

Let me start this post by first saying that I am a proud graduate of The Ohio State University. You can tell I am because I added “The” before the university name (see what I did there?) However, it is no secret that the football powerhouse has recently come across some major issues, causing us to lose our beloved coach and become the center of an NCAA investigation.

Calvin Folk's insight:

I am glad to see Ohio State on the right track finally. If they would have followed those ethics back a few years ago they wouldn't have gotten to this place. Lets be honest their problems didn't start with Prior and those other players. It started with Maurice Clarrette and proably even before him. But Ohio State is good at covering up stuff , just like most schools in the Country. Believe me they are not the only ones doing dirt out there. The NCAA should have handled Clarrette and Ohio State back then and set an example. They didn't and look what happen. These type of ethics these schools live by will eventually catch up them . These power house schools like Ohio State think they are excused from the rules because they bring so much money in and have huge fan bases. Well they can only hide so long before it all comes crashing down .
