Vivian's curator insight, April 8, 2013 7:07 PM

This is not the first time Zara has been charged with these allegations. The Government Control Agency raided a series of their factories and found the conditions of the workforce to be degrading. They were held inside (lock and key) and forced to work 16 hours a day, 6 days a week, with NO breaks. To make matters worse, it's said children were included.

A spokesman from Zara stated that they had no idea that one of their retalers were even under fire for these allegations and have not recieved any contact from the retailers and the Argentenian officials.

Zara is currently owned by Amancia Ortega, the 4th richest man in the world.
