Direct marketing has been given a negative image over the last few years. This is largely due to the prominence of digital marketing. With the ease and accesscibility available to digital mediums the hassle and cost of delivering large amounts of leaflets has decreased their usage. This is in contrast to their effectivity rates though.  A recent study by printbig.com highlighted the growth in response rates from consumers tht recieved direct mail. When combined with other mediums of marketing such as online and televsion, direct marketing response rates were consistenly higher than the other mediums. This occurance was explained by the less intrusivne nature and ability to dicard information if required.

To successfully make the most of anything you have to have a astute budget. this will allow you to make the most out of all your possible rescources. This article gave  brief explanation on why a budget is useful aswell as how it is invovled in a IMC campaign. Having a budget is a great way to monitor and track a companys progress. It forces them to evaluate and overview their current financial situation. After doing this allocating funds to the correct marketing schemes will be simple.

 

Choosing the correct Marketing programme involves deciding which marketing component deserves the most attention. Then after having assessed which outlet or tool is the right medium for the message the marketing plan should be adjusted. By doing this a certin leway or safety cushion is given by not using all of the available funds. this allows the company to monitor the progress and adjust or change it if or when needed.

From what I have read this article has given a brief explanation on why a budget is useful it also states how it has been integrated in an IMC campaign. In any business situation to successfully make the most of anything you have to have an incisive budget, this ultimately forces the company/ company’s to evaluate and outline their current financial situation. eventually this element this allows the company to monitor the progress and adjust or change if circumstances need them to.

Having a budget is an extremly important part of a business as it can drive decisions made within that business. You measure success and evaluate the overall financial situation of a business by using a budget. It also allows you to monitor progress to see your oppourtunities and limitations

Absolutely right, a business without a budget is just not worth it because measuring profits is all based on your resources whether its money, tangible or intangible resources, they are all matters to meeting financial objectives of a company.

One of the most important components of an integrated marketing communications program is the marketing communication message.

Why is creativity so Important in a Marketing plan? And what is creativity anyway? These simple questions are the two touchpoints for the revolution in the marketing world. With the ever growing markeing mediums and the irrelevance of some traditional methods the need to become unique and attention grabing has sky rocketed.

To understnad the importance of creativity we must define creativity. This article describes it as “a quality possessed by persons that enables them to generate novel approaches in situations, generally reflected in new and improved solutions to problems.”. I really like this definition as it is the opposite to most marketing definitions: in that it is quite broad and vague.  Like a good idea the creative process can be anything as long is triggers a positive response.This is where the importance comes in. If a idea generates a positive response then it is more likely to generate a sale thus increasing revenue.
