Phonemic Chart Keyboard: Type in Phonetic Characters

Rebecca Soble's insight:

useful for learning and practicing phonemics (DELTA!!) but it seems to prefer british pronunciation over american even when the vowels are changed - for example try the word "teacher" and it won't give an "r" at the end.

Easy Assessment - Rubric Creation & Assessment Tool for Teachers

Get Easy Assessment - Rubric Creation & Assessment Tool for Teachers on the App Store. See screenshots and ratings, and read customer reviews.
Rebecca Soble's insight:

I paid the $2 for this app, and so far I think it's worth it.  When you're in a speaking class and need to either give on-the-fly assessments for presentations or feedback scores for discussion participation, it can be useful to do it with the app rather than pencil/paper... it keeps it a little more separate from peeking eyes, and then when you get clamoring requests for "what's my grade" from multiple students, you can easily say "wait until I export the file". :-D   Also, I like the built-in video/photo... I could maybe use that even at the beginning of the semester just for taking photos of my students to remember their names!
