You're welcome Philip. I'm just learning all about Scoop.it and what it does as a platform, and so far finding it a very useful resource for finding information and for sharing this. It is indeed good to be connected to like-minded people and to share this information.

Similar carnivore human conflicts are ongoing in the Tusheti region of Georgia, where wolves are responsible for the loss of sheep grazing in the highlands. A project by NACRES and FFI has shown that effectively trained sheepdogs can reduce these conflicts significantly. http://www.fauna-flora.org/explore/georgia/

Moving away from animal trophy collection is a good thing, but increased tourism in a wildlife sanctuary may also disturb the animals we seek to protect.

Well we may have missed this one. It is a good idea for people to start noticeing the wildlife around them andwhat's there and what's changing or missing. Maybe we can sign up to be notified about when this happens again and spread the word. Delete the scoop?
