The second installment of Seattle Globalist’s fascinating series Slum Rising, written by local journalist Abby Higgins, has come out. This story is focused on the creative ways many residents in Kibera, Kenya’s largest slum, struggle to make a living and raise a family.
Slum dwellers are entrepreneurs and innovators, constantly manipulating their surroundings to creatively address the problems they and their communities face.
