New report from environmental commissioner calls for public participation in permitting.

Since the Endangered Species Act came out in 2007 the government has failed at providing means to enforce it. This article focuses entirely on the deparment that deals with the ESA, and how they are not doing anything to provide means of enforcing or even allowing citizen to participate in the act. Even the Minister of the Natural Resources comments on the lack of action.

California often hails its desalination project as one of the best green projects it has, but overlooks the greenhouse gasses the project emits due to the energy needed to run the desalination plants. This article goes in depth on the history of desalination and why it is and is not a good solution to the environmental issue. The article concludes by saying California's actions are not beneficial, but offers no real solutions.

China is coming to an end to its purely economic focus as the middle class grows and becomes more and more discontent with the growing ecological problems and hazardous pollution. The government promises to clean up the streets and natural habitats as best as possible by 2020 for the middle class and the incoming 350 million urban movements.

I recommend this article because it is informative without forcing an opinion down your throat.

This makes me think back to when I lived in Shanghai, which has one of the worst pollution indexes in the world. It was never as bad as this article makes it seem.
