When we introduced tablets in our school, we had some initial problems as students rushed up with their work so that they could play Hungry Birds, or enter into a chat session. The pointer here is that technology is good as long as it serves its purpose, and doesn't distract! The tablets were used for online tests and assessments, and so that had WiFi connectivity. If net books are being provided to students in large numbers, and they have WiFi then it would make good sense to control the students assess to the internet in the form of firewalls and other mechanisms.

I guess there is an innate fear of technology in all of us! If people don't like Google Glass, then it could also be because they feel conscious about using it (according to the article).  Using Google Glass might become a rather intimidating experience for some because  of its rather prominent appearance. Perhaps something less intimidating something less obtrusive would be a good idea?
