Whatever your product, especially in the era we live, there are and will be hundreds, thousands of competitors doing the same thing. One strong (and long(er)-lasting differentiator : quality/value).

Care about customers, bring value in the loop, think quality.

If people are driven and motivated, they'll achieve anything and that is also the sexy part about startups now. Let's not screw it by just wanting to release, no matter what.

That is so true.

I have actually seen startups offering great innovative products not being able to deliver and finally shutting down just because they could not sell.

The best/worst example of it being engineers having created a wonderful technological product, built a startup but being so not into selling that everything got lost.

Creating for the sake of it is ok. But building a commercial company means that, at some point, money has to come in. Hence seeling has to be done.
