Here is a post (guest post in fact) I came across earlier today on Rude Baguette (a "TechCrunch for France") and I must admit Cyrille Vincey (author and current entrepreneur) absolutely nails it.

He is beyond the usual naive reading of what startup life is (all hail TechStars impact maybe) but then gives the right advice.

Choose your mentors right. Pitch the "why". Both my favourites (and favourite pieces of advice too).
