Why an entrepreneurial revolution?

Why an entrepreneurial revolution? | Entrepreneurial Revolution | Scoop.it

Well to be honest, the Harvard Business Review editors thought
up the term “entrepreneurial revolution.” Some experts have suggested
calling it an “entrepreneurial (r)evolution.” The Babson
Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Project (BEEP) is pioneering a new way of
thinking and acting for public and private leaders, a way that is
conducive to high growth entrepreneurship. (R)evolutions are broadly
inclusive and call on a society’s leaders to think and behave
differently. Whereas historically revolutions replace and reform
government; this entrepreneurial revolution must be instigated and led
by public and private leaders, including in many cases government
officials.

The End of a Job as We Know It

The End of a Job as We Know It | Entrepreneurial Revolution | Scoop.it

"The concept of a job, as we know it, is starting to go away.

Over the last year I've been speaking with many corporate business and HR leaders and have heard a common theme: we need our organizations to be more agile. We need to redesign the organization so we can learn faster, communicate better, and respond more rapidly to change. This quest for the agile organization has changed the nature of what we call a job."

You’ve got your vision of what you want to build. You’ve also got a ton of unknowns and uncertainty. You know you can’t just go build it and hope they will come. You have to do it iteratively. Put a little bit out there, see how people react, figure out what to do next.

But where do you start? How much is enough to start getting feedback?

Daniel Isenberg - Leading an Entrepreneurial Revolution

Daniel Isenberg - Leading an Entrepreneurial Revolution | Entrepreneurial Revolution | Scoop.it

As a Davos novice, it was fascinating for me to observe how entrepreneurship was
reflected in the Davos dialog among the world’s movers and shakers. Given that
the term “entrepreneurship” has achieved cult status in policy speeches, I was
disappointed at our leaders’ superficiality and misconceptions, and its de facto
low priority.
