There is a lot of social media sites out there, but what are the differences between these platforms and why would businesses want to use each specific one? Depending on your industry some might work better for you than others, but I believe that all businesses should be using these top social networks as much as they can. Today, people are no longer turning to the yellow pages to find the services or products you offer, but instead they are doing a quick search online. Jonathan I agree that it's tough to convince business and professionals to use social media. There is some good research available to shows how big an influence social media is on purchasing goods as well as services.

As always, most people tend to fear acting on something they do not fully understand. I make it my priority to start them with the basic (1 network) and build their social presence one step at a time.
