Mike Ellsworth's insight:

I've used Google Forms before and found them a bit counter-intuitive. This refresh should help.

How a Google Search Travels Around the World [INFOGRAPHIC]

How a Google Search Travels Around the World [INFOGRAPHIC] | Enterprise Social Media | Scoop.it

A new infographic about Google Search shows the journey of a search on the site, from how it travels at the speed of light to how it ranks its results.

"How would you search a book with a million pages? That is pretty much what Google is doing when you search the web. The amount of information and the number of miles a query may travel is amazing. Check out the infographic for specific information."

More like a trillion pages, but we get it. It's a big, big Web, and Google rules it.

Social Networking: Google+ and the Long Game

Social Networking: Google+ and the Long Game | Enterprise Social Media | Scoop.it

"Sure, Google+ doesn't have anything close to the numbers Facebook boasts. But there's still plenty of value Google can wring from its social network and plenty of places in which it can grow, according to Google VP Vic Gundotra. Google+, he said, is a social layer that goes on top of everything else Google does, rather than an isolated destination."

I agree that Google is playing a deeper, longer-term game with Google+. This report of a chat with the site's chief indicates a bit of the plan, but I expect there's more to it.

Regardless, I don't think Google's intent is to topple Facebook, but rather to counter Facebook's lead in social search.
