Emeric Nectoux's insight:
It seems that complex projects often go off the rails. Most of the "several years duration" and over ten multi-millions dollars transformation projects I've seen become years late, and hugely over budget.

This article digs into why,  based on interviews with a few veterans.  Worth a read, if only to understand what complexity feels like from the trenches, and how Decision Intelligence might help.

“...companies can no longer rely on a small group of big brains to do all the thinking.”    Instead, EAs should look to orchestrate ideation as part of their Enterprise Architecture efforts. That means engaging different stakeholder communities inside the organization to capture brand new ideas, and then leveraging that input to develop innovative solutions and solve their most complex challenges.

A Quick Guide to Docker Terminology
New to Docker and wondering what the different terms in the container ecosystem mean? Keep reading for a primer on Docker terminology.

Docker terminology may not be as confusing as, say, words related to AWS, which loves to make up acronyms for everything under the sun.

But using Docker does require you to be familiar with a variety of terms, which don’t always mean the same thing within the context of Docker that they do elsewhere.

IoT for healthcare: Three use cases

IoT for healthcare: Three use cases | Enterprise Architecture | Scoop.it
Although the Internet of Things in healthcare is not yet in widespread use throughout the industry, Indranil "Neal" Ganguly predicts that, in the next five years, there will be a massive increase in IoT for healthcare, "both on the clinical side as well as on the back end."

"We're seeing this rapid scaling of these technologies, as the size of the devices and the price of the devices are declining so rapidly, the ideas for how to deploy them are also increasing," Ganguly, vice president and CIO at JFK Health System in Edison, N.J., said. "I think it's going to radically change how we think about tracking activity and be able to actually measure it and actually then look at real data in terms of how we implement process improvement type initiatives."

Ganguly explained how hospitals are using, or could use, IoT for healthcare in three areas: inventory management, workflow optimization and device integration.
